Themes & Series

Barns-Graham often worked in themes and series. The inspiration for these were broad and varied: sometimes sparked by recent travel (to Switzerland, Italy, Spain or Orkney for example); others following from detailed examination of relationships of colour and form. Here the themes and series have been presented roughly chronologically, noting series overlap and themes are returned to many decades later.
